Scholarship Criteria Deadline
Winchester Baseball League Scholarship
  • Participated in Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth league baseball in Winchester as a player at the high school level
  • Have a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Deadline: April 28, 2017 (no exceptions)
  • Applications can be found in Guidance or Online

M. Willis White Scholarship
  • Graduating Senior
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Business
  • GPA at least 3.0
  • Completed essay typed double spaced between 250-1000 words based on the subject: "Why I Wish to Pursue a Career in Business"
  • Two (2) letters of recommendation preferably from a business leader/owner and a teacher involved in your business education
  • Any additional information is welcomed to support your essay, however please limit to only four (4) attachments
  • Proof of acceptance into a business-related post-secondary educational program

  • Current High School Senior

  • Dependent of an active duty Service member, or Service member in the Reserves or National Guard.
Frederick County Farm Bureau
  • Studying something related to agriculture
  • Deadline: May 1, 2017

Top of Virginia Building Association
  • Majoring in trade or construction from engineering to welding
  • Must be pursuing a degree/certificate in construction management, engineering or any construction trade
  • Deadline: May 1, 2017

Virginia Sheriffs' Institute Scholarship
  • Students must be a permanent resident in a Virginia county or city.
  • Students 18 and older must be a registered Virginia voter and provided a copy of their voter registration card.
  • Students under the age of 18 are required to provide a copy of a picture ID with their home address providing proof of residency.
  • Only students attending a Virginia college or university will be considered.
  • Only majors in the criminal justice field will qualify.
Frederick County Rotary Club Scholarship
  • High School Senior
  • Accepted for fall admission to a college or university
  • Need to provide one page essay
  • Deadline: May 1, 2017

Shenandoah Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association
  • Must be accepted and be an upcoming freshmen to Virginia Tech
  • Scholarship is NOT need based
Daughter of the Stars P. Buckley Moss Scholarship

  • Must attach a copy of the first page of your IEP

  • Open to high school senior who intends to pursue an animation related field at an accredited post-secondary school or college
  • Has a demonstrable record of academic success
  • Has a passion and drive for an animation and /or design related career.
  • must submit an original essay topic on: "What specific skill do you most want to develop?"
The OMBAR "Aspiring Business Professional" scholarship
($1,000)
  • Intends to pursue a business related field at an accredited post-secondary school or college.
  • Has a demonstrable record of academic success
  • Has a passion and drive for a business career.
  • Must submit an original 250-500 word essay.
Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship Programs
  • High School completion
  • Pell-eligibility
  • Pursue and complete or technical certificate/degree
Global Lift Equipment Scholarship
($500)
  • Be attending or planning on attending a post-secondary institution in the US no later than the Fall of 2017
  • Submit a short story. Detailed instructions can be found on the application page
Aspiring Nurse Scholarship
($1,000)
  • A track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics.
  • A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of health care.
  • Open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN/LVN, ADN and BSN programs.
Lift Parts Scholarship
($500)
  • A current senior in High School
  • A Freshman or Sophomore in College/University
  • Enrolled in expected to be enrolled by the Fall of 2017
Diagnosis Delayed Scholarship
($500 award)
  • Student must be enrolled in a medical or legal program at the date of application 
  • US citizen
  • No minimum GPA
  • Deadline: August 1, 2017
  • Include the following materials in an email to info@diagnosis.com
  1. Proof of enrollment: acceptance letter, current class schedule, etc.
  2. Unofficial transcript
  3. A word document containing the following information: Name, Address, Birth date, Program/School attending, GPA, Short essay--500 word max describing why you deserve to win the scholarship
University of Virginia
  • Any student planning on applying/attending the University of Virginia
  • Several different scholarships listed for those eligible
Gloria Wille Bell & Carlos R. Bell Scholarship
(provides up to $80,000 over four years)
  • Recipients must be enrolled at University of Michigan and pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or another related science field

McDaniel College Educator's Legacy Scholarship ($100,000 over 4 years)
  • Current high school seniors who complete a college prep program with at least a 2.5 GPA
  • Must be admitted to McDaniel College
  • Parent or guardian must meet the educator eligibility requirements
  • Complete and file the online K-12 employment verification form online K-12 employment verification form
  • Submit the McDaniel Application or The Common Application for admission
  • Send a copy of your high school transcript
  • Submit a Secondary School Report form and two letters of recommendation from academic sources
  • Provide SAT or ACT scores unless you qualify for our Test Optional Plan
