Miss Virginia Meet & Greet featuring Camille Schrier Monday, September 30th, 5th period in the library.She has two undergraduate science degrees from VT and is currently studying for a doctorate in pharmacy at VCU. Dr. Sovine is seeking two interested students to serve on the Student Leadership Council for the 2019 - 2020 school year. If you are interested in representing Sherando High School on the student leadership council, please pick up an application in the main office. Applications are due to Ms. Hatfield on or before September 27, 2019, by 2:30 p.m.

Explore Careers in Aviation: Aviation Day is Friday, November 1st at the
Leesburg Executive Airport. See a CTE teacher or your Career Coach by 9/25/19 for more information on how to participate. Limited seats are available. Scholarships may be available to those qualified. Applications Due October 4th.

ATTENTION Seniors: The date & hours for Final Senior Picture day has changed to October 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Attention Students bringing a Non-Sherando guest to the Homecoming Dance:Guest forms are available in the main office. Forms must be returned to the main office PRIOR to purchasing a guest ticket. Only 50 guest passes will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

Deca Powder puff football game: Senior Girls v Junior Girls, October 7th, 2019 at 6:00 pm in Arrowhead Stadium. Come out and cheer on the Senior and Junior football players and support DECA!

Attention Juniors: We will have a meeting Thursday after school in Room 425 to continue with Homecoming and Prom plans. We need your help to make your junior year the best one yet!

The next FCCLA meeting will be on Thursday September 26. We will be discussing stuff for the upcoming year.
BIO Club meeting: Monday 9/30 from 2:30-3:30 in room 602 with Mrs. Bentley.

Attention DECA members! There will be a meeting next Tuesday, October 1st after school in Room 421. Discussion will be regarding homecoming week and creating DECA’s homecoming banner.

Cinderella’s Closet by NHS is Open! If you are in need of attire for the Homecoming Dance, come see what we have in the Social Studies Office, room 408! All dresses, suits, shoes, ties, and purses are free to keep! We are also in need of new attire. If you have something you would like to donate, please drop it off in the social studies office, Dr. Ricard’s room in 501, or the front office.

PSAT:
Students registered to take the PSAT on Oct 16th:
You must attend a PSAT pre-administration to complete the demographic information on your answer sheet prior to testing
WHEN - Monday, October 7th
TIME - 9:35 (beginning of 4th period)
WHERE - Commons/Cafeteria area
This session is mandatory for all students taking the PSAT and should take approximately 45 minutes to complete
